Choosing the right keyword for your website

If your website is having a high ranking keyword that no one is searching for, the traffic curve will approach zero. This doesn’t give you any conversion and you can not be proud of your website seeing its search ranking. It is very important to find high search volume keywords and optimize your website for that keyphrase. You can compare the relative popularity of any keyword using tools that are available in the internet. Few of them I recommend is WordTracker, Overtuer‘s Search term suggestion tool and Google Keyword external Tool. Some times Plural of a keyword may have high volume than the singular form. Test your keywords for its synonyms. All tools offer similar keyword suggestionns. One drawback of Overture’s tool is that they combines singular and plural forms together, along with popular misspellings, and only displays the aggregate number.
Despite the popularity of individual words, it is recommended to target two- or three-word phrases. Choosing a one word keyword will be a losing battle as the staggering number of pages indexed by popular search engines, competeting each other for the first or second page of the search resylt.  This should go without saying, but the keywords you select should be relevant to your business. Again make sure that the keyword is relevant to your business.

We should always choose the right keyword and which should lies in between high competitive and less competitive. If we choose the high competitive keywords only for our website our fate may lie on the last of SERP. Nice blog you have and I appreciate it… keep it up :)
